45 runs in 21 balls from the bat of a 17-year-old, the youngest IPL cricketer, made one of world's most prolific batsmen, Virat Kohli, bow to him as he walked out of the park hitting 6 fours and a six in his rollicking knock for Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday.
With his skipper greeting him the way he did, the kid in Sarfaraz must have felt shy, but he earned his stripes and the applause he got from Kohli, after taking RCB to 200 for 7 in 20 overs.

Sarfaraz walked out unbeaten with a strike rate of 214.29. That the match ended in an washout was an anti-climax.
The RCB line-up consists of who's who of world batting; namely Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. But Sarfaraz didn't let that bog him down even after Bangalore lost two of their big three cheaply. Only De Villiers delivered the goods with a 45-ball 57.

Sarfaraz's first claim to fame came in 2009 when he broke Sachin Tendulkar's record. Batting for his school, Rizvi Springfield School, Sarfaraz scored 439 runs in 421 balls as a 12-year-old.
But it was Sarfaraz's audacious hitting on a Wednesday that became the talk of the town. Besides, it not only raised RCB's total to 200 but also their hopes of registering first home win of the 2015 IPL season. But it wasn't to be as the rain gods had decided on something else.
Sarfaraz's knock also had the Twitterati go gaga about his potential, but what Kohli did took the cake and made Sarfaraz's day.
